‘Why do women keep f***ing each other up? Doth thou have an answer?'
Shakespeare! The contraceptive pill! Internalised misogyny! Maybe karaoke! Probably cake! 🧁
Milestones of misinformation will test the fragile lines of connection between three generations of women. Using the contraceptive pill as our anchor, we will juxtapose Juliet's narrative with our stark realisations of poor choices from our youth, while we collectively consume the next cycle. No performance will be the same.
An experimental and community-building event, some audience members will be encouraged to participate as they feel comfortable, as led by our performers.
Conceived and directed by Emma Whitehead, creator of 'in/finite SOL.' (2023 Sydney Fringe Festival Award Finalist - Best in Immersive and Interactive).
Developed as part of Sydney Fringe Festival x Ethics Centre Artist Residencies 2024.
Part of THE LAB@UNSW Experimental Theatre season 2025 at Sydney Fringe Festival 2025.
